Intensive Support Team (IST)

Providing intensive support for adults and young people with learning disabilities

The Intensive Support team consists of clinical psychologists, a speech and language therapist, a consultant psychiatrist, a behaviour nurse therapist and behaviour support workers.

The team provide specialist assessment and intensive support for adults and young people in transition from Children’s Services, their families, supporters and specialist providers.

They work with people who have complex needs to support them to live safely in the community.

ALD Psychology Service

Included in the Intensive Support Team is the ALD Psychology Service, which provides individual or group therapy and support for families, parents and staff supporting vulnerable people
