Care Plus Group were delighted to welcome a fantastic group of students for their recent work experience placement.
During their time with us, the students gained hands-on experience across a variety of departments, including HOPE Specialist Service, Moving & Handling, Employability Services and F4IT. This gave them valuable insight into the diverse career opportunities available within health and social care.
The placement proved to be a real eye-opener for many of the students, helping them develop a much broader understanding of our organisation and the work we do. They particularly appreciated how welcoming and supportive our colleagues were, and the effort made to involve them in day-to-day activities.
Reflecting on their experience, one student said:
“I loved being treated like one of the team and would love to come back.”
Our staff were equally impressed. Vicky Henderson described the students as “oozing with enthusiasm” and sharing how much her team enjoyed working with them. The experience highlighted the value of giving young people the opportunity to explore different career paths and gain real-world experience.
Our Chief Executive, Lisa Revell, also took time out of her busy diary to discuss the students’ individual career aspirations.
A huge thank you to all our wonderful colleagues who dedicated their time and expertise to making the placements such a valuable and
enjoyable experience. Their support and commitment helped ensure the students got the very most from their time with us, and we look forward to welcoming more young people in the future!
