Meet our volunteers

Our volunteers are valued and valuable members of our organisation and we currently have over 200 working across the organisation and in the community.

Across our services we have volunteers dedicating their time, expertise and experience and supporting the work our staff members do.

From patient experts and buddies in our HOPE specialist service through to the award-winning work our Collaboratives carry out.

Our volunteers make a real difference to the services we provide and to the health and wellbeing of our whole community.

Amazing nurses, who went above and beyond while caring for my Dad recently. Can’t fault them one bit & they did a fantastic job. So caring and understanding. We had some laughs & lots of tears but they supported us through my dad’s final days. Thank you for everything you did. You are truly amazing.

My advice to others interested in volunteering would be to go for it. You’ll need a good sense of humour and be prepared to get out and meet people but it has benefitted me both from a social point of view and also knowing I’m helping other people.

It has given me the confidence to get up and do things I hadn't realised I could do.
