Enya is supported by Employability services during her placement at Women’s Aid where she volunteers each week, which includes an aspect of job coaching from her Employability Support Officer, Fiona.
She completes an array of tasks including restocking the shelves, replenishing the dress rails and working on the till serving customers.
Fiona Rudrum, Enya’s Employability Support Officer, commented on Enya. She said:
“She is polite, attentive and very popular with the customers with her sunny disposition making their day a little brighter.”
Debbie, the Deputy Manager, said:
“Enya started in the ‘Books and Stuff’ shop originally and then moved to the Hainton Avenue shop when it opened. She brings sunshine to the shop as she is a very pleasant young lady who takes care and time with the customers. She is knowledgeable of the products we sell and can usually be heard telling customers the origin of the product and if it is a designer brand. It is lovely to hear her interaction with the customers and she is great at promoting the name cards which are run regularly. Without volunteers like Enya, we would not sell as much as we do and it is an absolute pleasure to work with her, she is an asset to the team.”
