My name is Liz Stones, and I have been associated with the NHS for 42 years, as my background was Nursing, always delivered in Grimsby at our local hospitals.
My interest when qualified was Orthopaedics and Trauma Nursing as a ward Sister, Matron and Director of Surgery and Critical care services.
For the last eleven years prior to retirement as the Deputy Director of Patient Services at Diana Princess of Wales Hospital.
When I retired in 2010, I was appointed as a Public Governor for N.E. Lincs attached to the NLAG hospitals.
The ethos throughout my career was always to deliver and ensure appropriate, safe, quality care with kindness and compassion.
