Sharon has worked within the Skills and Employment arena for over 20 years and has a wealth of experience within the private, public and voluntary sectors.  

She has created a multi-award winning and innovative Employability Service. This service has supported thousands of local residents into sustainable career-based employment via a pathway of employability programmes. The service facilitates a ‘Skills & Recruitment hub’ for local businesses across all sectors, including Health and Care. 

Sharon works closely with education providers and supports the development of the curriculum for health and sciences, career pathways and employability skills; ensuring young people are inspired to choose a career within the Health and Care sector. 

As a Trustee of the Engineering/Health and Sciences UTC Northern Lincolnshire, along with other core industry partners, she provides strategic leadership and accountability for the overall quality and success of the UTC.  

Sharon’s current role, as Programme Lead (Workforce & Innovation), allows her to work closely with partners to develop system-wide innovative and quality workforce programmes. This work supports delivery of the robust NEL HCP Workforce strategy to attract, recruit and retain staff across the Health and Care sector; subsequently supporting the local skills gap and increasing the high quality of patient care for the community. 

In her spare time, she likes to spend time with her family and friends, travel and go hiking.
