New In-House Blood Sample Service for Community Cardiology Patients!

Patients referred to CPG’s Community Cardiology Service can now have their blood sample taken in-house at Weelsby View Health Centre, removing the need to return to their GP practice or another centre.

Jordan, a highly experienced Healthcare Assistant, joined the service in October 2025 and is responsible for taking blood samples, performing 12-lead ECGs, and fitting various ambulatory ECG and blood pressure monitors.

Since introducing this new service, the service has received many positive comments from patients who appreciate the convenience of having their consultations and diagnostic tests completed in one place and at a time that suits them.

This development further enhances our well-established Community Cardiology Service, which provides diagnosis and treatment for heart failure, arrhythmias (palpitations), and valve disease.

Please note: The blood sample service is available only for internal referrals within the Community Cardiology Service.
