The Big Hearts Group recently received a fantastic £5,063 donation from Prax Lindsey Oil Refinery to mark the Refinery successfully completing a shutdown event without a recordable accident at the site.

In recognition of the significant achievement from employees and contractors, the Prax Group and contractors donated over £20,000 to three charities chosen by the workforce – and the Big Hearts Group were lucky to be one of the chosen charities.

The Big Hearts Group is a joint venture between Care Plus Group / Macmillan; NELC Young Carers Service and St Andrews Hospice supporting young carers with relatives, parents or siblings who have a life limiting illness.

The aim of the group is to enable members to have free time, make new friends and take part in a variety of activities and projects, it also provides a safe and therapeutic environment with trained staff to help them explore any worries they may have and provides ongoing support after bereavement for as long as it is needed.
