With today being National Technology Day, Care Plus Group (CPG) is proud to announce that 2026 will be its Year of Digital, marking a major step forward in how technology can make care simpler, faster and more personal for the people we serve.
Our goal is to make things easier for patients and families by using digital tools that save time and improve communication. The following are planned:
- A Refreshed Digital Strategy – Aligned with the NHS 10-year plan and local priorities.
- Skills for the Future – Training staff to make the most of digital tools.
- Clinically Led Digital– Ensuring frontline colleagues are involved in all points of digital work so we can be clear on how it will impact their work and patients care.
- Smarter Processes – Clear guidelines for managing digital projects to measure our impact better.
Kris Weavill, Digital Transformation Lead said:
“We’ve already launched Copilot AI across Care Plus Group, and staff are seeing real benefits, routine tasks are automated, information is easier to access, and admin burdens are reduced. Hands-on training has helped everyone get comfortable with these new tools, and we’re tracking positive outcomes like time saved and increased focus on patient care.”
“We’re exploring an exciting idea for a Digital & Innovation Fayre later in the year bringing together local partners, colleges, and innovators to showcase technology that can improve health and wellbeing. Partners will be invited to set out their stall, literally, to answer the question: “How can you help us deliver the NHS 10-year plan?” It’s an aspirational project we’re currently designing, and we invite partners who want to be part of it to get in touch and help shape the event. You can contact us at cpg.digitaltransformation@nhs.net to express an interest. ”
Lisa Revell, Chief Executive said:
“Making 2026 the year of digital is crucial as it marks a bold step towards fulfilling our commitments to partners and aligning with our 10-year plan. By embracing digital innovation, we strengthen collaborations with local organisations, colleges, and innovators, ensuring we collectively shape a future that benefits both our workforce and our patients. “
