Care Plus Group joins NYHDIF to accelerate collaboration and deliver its 2026 Year of Digital

Care Plus Group (CPG) has formally joined the Northern, Yorkshire & Humberside Digital Informatics Forum (NYHDIF), a regional network for NHS digital, data and technology leaders. This milestone strengthens our commitment to clinically led, collaborative digital improvement for colleagues and the communities we serve.

Becoming part of NYHDIF will bring benefits for both our workforce and our patients, including:

  • Access to shared best practice and lessons learned
NYHDIF is built around sharing what works, promoting good practice, and supporting organisations to learn from one another’s experience by helping members avoid duplication, reduce risk and accelerate improvement.
  • Regular insight into national priorities and digital direction
The Forum brings updates from NHS England and national programmes, keeping members aligned with emerging standards, national guidance and system‑wide expectations for safe and effective digital delivery.
  • Stronger regional collaboration on emerging priorities such as AI, cybersecurity and interoperability. Recent NYHDIF discussions highlight collective work on AI governance, workforce skills, cyber hygiene and shared data platforms areas central to safer, more efficient care across the region.

CPG has already declared 2026 as its Year of Digital, and with the use of digital committed to making care simpler, faster and more personal for the people we serve. Our focus is on equipping staff with the right skills, ensuring clinically led design, and streamlining digital processes so colleagues can spend more time on what matters most – patient care. Membership of NYHDIF further supports this work by connecting us with a strong regional community facing similar challenges and sharing proven approaches.

Angela Smith, Deputy Chief Executive at Care Plus Group, said:
“Joining NYHDIF strengthens our ability to collaborate across the region, share what works, and bring those improvements back into Care Plus Group quickly and safely. It’s a practical step that supports our Year of Digital helping our teams modernise services, reduce waste, and improve experiences for colleagues and the people we care for.”

John Mitchell, NYHDIF Member & Associate Director of Digital – Humber & North Yorkshire Integrated Care Board
