“I am Over the Moon” – Chloe’s Story

Chloe successfully secured a job she had aspired to achieve with support from her Employability Support Officer.

Chloe began accessing Employability support in August 2023. She previously worked within the retail sector but did not gain any job satisfaction from this. Caring for her mum led to Chloe developing many transferable skills, and with this came the aspiration to work within Health and Social Care.

Chloe received support from Employability Services with job search, application forms and interview techniques.  She was also referred via Employability to Princes Trust, who were able to fund a 3-day First Aid at Work course.  She has subsequently secured a part-time Support Worker Role with LQCS.

When asked about her experience with Employability Services, she said:

“Prior to gaining support from Employability Services I felt like giving up. I had lost all confidence and doubted my ability.

“With the support of my Employability Support Officer, I felt empowered and confident and have now gained employment in a sector I feel very passionate about. I am over the moon!”

We asked Employability Support Officer, Christie Malkin about her experience working with Chloe. She said:

“Chloe is a passionate and caring person who is perfectly matched to work within the Health and Social Care sector.

“I have enjoyed supporting Chloe on her journey to employment. Seeing her grow in confidence which led to her gaining employment was fantastic. Well done, Chloe!”
