Gemma’s Story

After the loss of her mum, one of our service users, Gemma, has been supported by her sister and a close family friend.

The process of finding a suitable place for Gemma to live proved to be both challenging and demanding for Gemma and those supporting her.

After discussions with her sister and family friend, it was agreed that support from Support Worker Tina Barker would help guide them in the right direction and support them through the process of finding a suitable supported living home for Gemma.

As this was a new experience for her carers, they were initially unsure who to contact or where to begin. With ongoing support and advice, they were able to navigate the process with more clarity and reassurance.

We are pleased to share that Gemma has now secured a flat with support and is awaiting her moving-in date!

Everyone involved is incredibly proud of her progress. Gemma is coping very well and is looking forward to this exciting new chapter – settling into her new home and making new friends.
