If you are work ready, paid employment could be the pathway for you. If you need to gain confidence or experience, a voluntary work placement could be right for you.  Apprenticeships are a great opportunity to start you on a career pathway or a change of career.

Aftercare Package: 

All our initiatives include an aftercare service for a period of 13 weeks, whereby support continues enabling you to sustain employment or continue to develop your employability skills.

Jenny first approached Employability Services in response to an advert for Domestic Assistant paid opportunity. During initial discussions about the vacancy, it became clear that the opportunity clashed with Jenny’s other part time job as a Lunchtime Supervisor and therefore she had to decline. However, Jenny requested continued support from Support Officer Tracy Chaplin, to continue seeking further paid employment to supplement her income to a more comfortable amount.

Fortunately, a further opportunity became available with the original employer, EMC Services, on a different rota. Jenny was therefore supported to apply and ultimately offered a Bank Domestic Assistant role based at The Val Waterhouse Centre working as part of their amazing Domestic Team.
